To strengthen the party spirit education of new party members, solidify the foundation of ideals and beliefs, and inherit the red gene and petroleum spirit, on December 30, 2025, the Juli Petroleum Party Branch organized new and old party members, as well as party activists, to visit the former site of the New Fourth Army in Jing County, where a grand oath-taking ceremony for new party members was held. Through immersive red education and a solemn oath-taking ceremony, all party members were guided to keep their original aspiration and mission firmly in mind, and to bravely take on their mission and forge ahead in the journey of energy supply guarantee.
As a key cultural relic under state protection, the former site of the New Fourth Army in Jing County served as the command center for the anti-Japanese war in Central China. It carries the memories of the New Fourth Army soldiers who fought bravely across the country and against the enemy, and is an important educational site for inheriting the red gene and cultivating party spirit. At the beginning of the activity, all the participants, led by the guide, visited the former sites of the New Fourth Army headquarters and the assembly hall, listened carefully to the stories of the New Fourth Army's resistance in southern Anhui, examined precious historical artifacts and detailed historical materials, deeply felt the noble spirit of the revolutionary forefathers' "fearless sacrifice and heroic struggle", and underwent a profound ideological baptism and spiritual tempering.
Subsequently, the solemn oath-taking ceremony for new party members was held in front of the former site of the New Fourth Army Headquarters Hall. The ceremony kicked off with the majestic song "The International Anthem". Representatives of the veteran party members pinned party badges on the new members, passing on the glorious traditions and mission of the party. Led by the branch secretary, the new party members faced the red party flag, raised their right fists, and solemnly declared: "I voluntarily join the Communist Party of China... ready to sacrifice everything for the party and the people at any time, and never betray the party." The powerful oath echoed over the red soil, expressing deep remembrance for the revolutionary forebears and solemn commitment to the party, fully demonstrating the new party members' firm determination and high morale in joining the party organization.
After the oath, the representative of the veteran party members shared their original aspiration for joining the party based on their own job experiences, encouraging the new party members to remember that "joining the party is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and joining the party in spirit is a lifelong commitment", and to always strictly adhere to the standards of a party member, integrating the red spirit into their daily work. The representative of the new party members made a statement, promising to take this oath as a new starting point, inherit the spirit of hard work of the New Fourth Army and the excellent tradition of "working hard and practically, being strict in everything" in the petroleum industry, and based on positions such as oil and gas exploration and development, and safety production guarantee, diligently study and practice skills, bravely take on responsibilities, and fulfill the oath of joining the party with practical actions. The branch secretary made a concluding speech, emphasizing that all party members should take this event as an opportunity to draw strength from the red history, deepen the integration of party building and production management, let the party flag fly high on the front line of energy supply guarantee, and contribute the strength of party members to ensuring national energy security and promoting high-quality development of enterprises.
